QA Assistant: A Handy Tool for Quality Engineers

QA Assistant is a free Chrome add-on developed by Meskman. This tool is designed to assist Quality Engineers in tracking test execution in TestRail and managing defects in JIRA. With QA Assistant, you can easily monitor the number of executed test cases per test run in TestRail, as well as keep track of the list of created, closed, and reopened defects in JIRA.

One of the key features of QA Assistant is the ability to quickly add your own template to a JIRA Defect using the Context menu. This saves time and ensures consistency when creating defect reports. Additionally, the tool offers a convenient way to add quick comments to JIRA when closing a defect, again using the Context menu.

QA Assistant is a handy tool for Quality Engineers who work with TestRail and JIRA. It streamlines the process of tracking test execution and managing defects, making it easier to ensure the quality of software products.
